David Minett is a University of Aberdeen graduate who joined the firm straight from his studies and went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant, continuing the James Milne tradition of promoting from within.

As the son of two teachers, a studious nature runs in the family.

After joining in 1995, he became a partner in 2003 and spends his time at both the Aberdeen and Inverurie offices. Like his fellow partners, David has a broad remit and works across personal and business services.

A keen amateur footballer, David is now in his 24th season with Aberdeen team Rattrays XI and is also a key member of the club’s committee.

GrahamBridgeford

Partner
gbridgeford@jamesmilne.co.uk

Graham Bridgeford has been with James Milne for more than 25 years, becoming a partner in 1994 and managing partner in 2009.

A University of Aberdeen graduate, Graham joined the firm in 1989 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant three years later. Born and raised in Peterhead, Graham divides his time between the Inverurie and Aberdeen offices.

Accountancy is becoming something of a Bridgeford tradition, with Graham’s father providing the inspiration for his career choice.

When not at work, Graham’s focus is on numbers of a different kind – 4-4-2 or 4-5-1? As a devoted football follower, he has enjoyed the highs and lows of life as a Dons fan having been an Aberdeen season ticket holder for more than 20 years.

I did my CA training with James Milne straight from Uni and liked working here so much that they could never get me to leave! I benefited so much from my colleagues’ kind, patient support when I started my career. Now I enjoy passing that on to the team’s newer members.

The supportive training environment at James Milne is very important to me. I was so proud to become a Partner in the firm in 2019 and help to establish the Banchory office.

It’s a great challenge and I’m loving every minute.

And for my Q&A…
Beach or Mountain? Mountain.
Biscuit of choice? Penguin, their ‘jokes’ got me through lockdown!
Hobby? Landscape and astrophotography, when the weather allows!
