Tax Manager – Inverurie

Due to retirement in the business, we are looking to recruit a Tax Manager for our busy Inverurie office.


Here are some things you can expect from the Tax Manager role.

The main requirement is to assist clients in preparing and submitting their annual Tax Returns; manage and carry out a review of tax returns and tax work by department staff, all as directed by the firm's partners.

You will join the team in Inverurie and have the responsibility of managing, inspiring and supervising the Tax Department team. We are a close and supportive team.

You will provide tax advice to clients and liaise with their professional advisers to enable them to manage their tax affairs and prepare more complex returns, usually involving overseas work or seafarers.

Provide training in all aspects of tax work to staff in the department.

Keep up to date with the UK and international tax rules, research and understand the potential impact of changes and communicate them to stakeholders.

Reporting to the Partners of the firm.


You must be qualified, minimum ATT, or CA, CTA, or equivalent, with experience working in a similar role.

And ideally have:

At least 3+ years of post-qualification experience.

Enthusiasm to help deliver our services, with an ability to challenge processes and suggest new solutions.

Experience in coaching and developing team members.

Excellent written and presentation skills.

Whilst the role is advertised as full time, it may be possible for this to be a part-time position of at least three days per week.
