Due to continued success, we are looking for a Qualified Assistant Accountant for our busy Aberdeen office.

Responsibilities

Here are some things you can expect from the Assistant Accountant role.

The main requirement is to assist clients in the timeous preparation of annual business accounts and to manage and carry out a review of accounting work prepared by department staff, all as directed by the firm’s partners.

You will join the team in Aberdeen and have the responsibility of managing and supervising staff in the Accounts and Business Services departments. We are a close and supportive team.

Preparation of annual accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders, mainly with our more important and complex jobs.

Preparing audit files for a few audit clients and liaising with the audit partner regarding these.

Raise and resolve queries and issues with clients to enable accounts to be finalised.

Reporting to the Partners of the firm.

Qualifications

You must be qualified, minimum AAT, or CA, ACCA, or equivalent.

Would suit newly or recently qualified individuals.

Experience in coaching and developing team members.

Enthusiasm to help deliver our services, with an ability to challenge processes and suggest new solutions.

Excellent written and presentation skills.
